Penn Harris Hotel Harrisburg, Trademark by Wyndham

This was our second time staying at this hotel. It is very nice! The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. They also have a nice restaurant and bar although not open on Mondays.

We love stopping here. Classy old school style. Nice facility, friendly staff.

Super clean room and lobby, beds comfy and the decor is classy. Will stay here again.

This was my 2nd time at your establishment. Both times exceeded my expectations. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were polite and professional.

It started with checking in. The desk clerk didn’t know Mike is the same as Michael and took a long time to find our reservation. We never saw any mention of the fact this hotel does not have a lift. No mention of a bellhop being available to take care of our luggage. The desk clerk gave us the wrong directions to our room. My wife and I are close to 80 years old and we had to carry our luggage up a long flight of stairs to the second floor. Once we got on the second floor we found we had to climb more stairs in the hallway because the hall was not level. We followed the clerk’s directions and realized she sent us in the wrong direction. After descending the stairs we had just climbed we had to climb three more flights of stairs ranging between four and seven steps to finally arrive at our room. During our stay we discovered the refrigerator door had been left open and the inside of it was a block of ice. Picking up the house phone to notify the front desk we discovered the phone did not work. We had to call the desk using a cell phone and explained the maid must have left the door of the refrigerator open and it was frosted up and the house phone didn’t work! Two maintenance men arrived, neither spoke or understand English arrived to correct the issues. I tried to explain I had unplugged the refrigerator and it was defrosting to not avail. They wasted time wiping the refrigerator out before trying the phone that still didn’t work after they left! The next night one of our key cards didn’t work and the other was in the room. I descended the four sets of stairs down to the front desk to get the card recoded. The clerk refused to recode the and said the battery was the issue. He would send a maintenance man up to replace it. Again, this person didn’t not understand or speak English. He replaced the battery and discovered the key card I requested be recoded DO NOT WORK! Arrrggghhh! I feel we deserve to be compensated for the misinformation or lack of information regarding not having a lift and once reaching the second floor, the ability to wheel our luggage on a cart to our room because of the three sets of stairs in the hallway, the house phone not working and the frosted up refrigerator.

I expected more. No morning coffee in the lobby. TV did not work properly. Hairs in the bath tub.

We really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely return.
