We loved the big rooms. It’s walking distance to Virginia Street. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly.
I had an unsatisfactory experience during my recent stay at the Plaza Resort. We chose this hotel because my daughter was participating in a volleyball tournament at the convention center. On our first night, I had to call the front desk for assistance to open the door. The hotel also doesn’t seem to have sufficient parking for larger vehicles like SUVs. Thankfully, the senior staff member at the front desk was polite and helped me find a parking spot. On the third day, however, I was unable to find parking and decided to temporarily park in the loading zone. A staff member from the front desk approached me with a poor attitude, informing me that I couldn’t park there and directing me to the second floor garage, which was unsuitable for my SUV. Her tone and demeanor were unpleasant, making the situation unnecessarily difficult. Despite this, I had to park back in the loading zone, which led to further complications. Fortunately, the senior staff member intervened again to assist me. Additionally, I found it frustrating that a $75 deposit was required to get a garage remote. On top of all this, the room's carpet was dirty, which added to the overall disappointment. This front desk employee's behavior negatively impacted my experience and is a primary reason I would not return.

To provide for the utmost security of our guest’s vehicles, the gate is closed at night. We will issue you a gate opener at check-in. There will be a credit card authorization of $75 for the gate opener, which will be released at check-out.
