Movie was special. I read all the cabin bios. Intetesting.
Mom and I took the train from Wasilla to Fairbanks not getting to the hotel until about 8:30 p.m. had a fabulous dinner of the best shrimp chowder and burger! We ended our evening on the deck overlooking the Chena River around a fire pit with a glass of wine! It was fabulous and the ambiance was great, the beds were super comfortable the room was very clean! When we walked in initially to the front desk there was a line of people and Iwas a little disheartened, lo and behold the six people in front of me went really fast as they had about four people on staff! Got us to our room in a quick manner and it was awesome all the way around! Got a ride back to the train station early a.m. the next morning the driver was fabulous courteous and helpful! I only took about 6 minutes to get to our destination! Would always recommend this hotel again!
There were three of us in our group. We all enjoyed staying at Pikes. The staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed Terry the bartender and the young man serving ice cream. They were wonderful with the customers and what a great idea to have an ice cream bar. Every age enjoyed. We all would stay there again.

Andria or Andrea, forgive my misspelling of her name, was absolutely amazing! Because of her and the amazing staff here, like her I will only stay at Pikes Waterfront Lodge when I travel into Fairbanks. Thank you for your amazing staff!
rooms need hooks to hang coats; carpet is dirty; room is also too dark; cleaning routine (not making beds) not so wonderful for guests.
I really enjoyed my stay here. Very nice sweet people work here.
