I am not familiar with the Columbus area at all and chose this hotel based on location (I was in town for a race) and price. I had no idea what to expect but wow! I was blown away by the friendliness of the front desk staff, the overall cleanliness, the quiet atmosphere and the excellent selections at the breakfast buffet. Definitely plan to stay here again.
For the money I expected the TV to work properly (no ABC), the refrigerator to be cold enough to keep ice packs frozen, the ice machine on the 4th floor to work (no ice the entire weekend) and the hotel door from the very, very nice dog walk area to open when your key is used, as per the sign indicated. Finally glass is nice but not in the bathroom. Need some plastic cups for bathroom use. Also a hand towel was given for the bath mat, which was too small. The glass shower door was nice and large but it dripped water onto the floor because the towel was not large enough to pick up the dripping. This caused water to be on the bathroom floor which is a very serious slipping hazard. The front desk day time people where very friendly and said they would check into the items but I was there three nights and technical problems were still there when I left. Front desk night crew needs to be more knowledgeable about what to do when a guest has a complaint.Shrugging ones shoulder is not appropriate response.
