The person checking us in, would not talk to us shoving our minor requests to us with a huff. Rooms are old which is fine, but room was filthy others in my group had the same experience. I had ants in my bathroom. wanted to do laundry and there was not detergent to buy. Asked the worker for some and she gave as a dishwasher pod. Laundry was much more expensive than a typical hotel. Breakfast was gross. Signs say they are renovating no work appears to be in progress. Think the signs were an attempt at a diversion to "excuse" the horrible shape of the rooms. Could not even complain at the front desk as no body there in the morning. Should be closed until renovations are done. Do not stay here if you can possibly stay anywhere else. To top it off I did not get hospitality points as I got a special rate. I could go on and on.. .
This property has not been maintained and is not clean. My first room had crumbs on the counter and visibly soiled carpet. I had to request a different room which smelled very strongly of deodorizer. The carpet was only vacuumed in half of the room.
Front desk gave a random man a room key to my room. I was not made aware or even asked if this man could have a key.
We would stay again with Country Inn and Suites by Radisson in Decatur, IL.
