It was clean and the bed was comfortable.
We needed a place to stay and this was the only motel in town, so I booked it. When we arrived the outside of the building and the parking lot had my expectations very low, they are in great need of repair. In the office my concern continued, dead plants everywhere, but the man that checked us in was nice but, at this point I just figured, oh well, we're here, I've already paid and we were here for a funeral, bo turning back now. When we got to our room I was pleasantly surprised, it seemed to be updated, it was clean, everything worked great. We had several extended family members that stayed at this motel also, all of us had nice clean rooms. I guess the moral of the story is, don't judge a book by its cover. Hopefully the owner can continue to update a little at a time and get the place as nice outside as it is on the inside. Ultimately, the inside is what really mattered and it was very nice.
