The cool thing about Hotel St. Regis in Detroit is its convenient location, just a 5-minute drive from Little Caesars Arena and MGM Grand Detroit Casino.
This place has seen better days first room at check in black water came out of faucet in shower as well as scalding hot water which would not cool down air conditioning didn’t work never got below 79 degrees and fan rattles had to turn off overnight wallpaper still on walls carpeting has stains on it and room smells terrible like a musty dirty smell truly awful this is room 521 you should never put anyone in there it’s horrible I thought I was back in 1974! You have no soap at the four sinks in the men’s restroom on main floor now this is basic 101 maintenance for a hotel how disgusting and what’s with that! Will never be back and will tell others not to stay here it is truly not good giving it a three rating is being generous I also don’t like that $300 security deposit it’s just plain stupid I don’t like the hotel having free reign to my credit card it’s wrong and should be going on to the customer.
We liked the room. It was very clean and comfortable. The only thing we didn’t like was the noise from the furnace fan. We couldn’t hear the TV when the furnace fan kicked in.
Very nice hospitality, clean and peaceful. Close to hospital. Highly recommend.
