Lovely Hotel. I was in Portland for a wedding and we chose the Bensen based on the pictures of their lobby and rooms and it did not disappoint. It’s a beautiful cozy lobby with a fireplace burning plenty of chairs to sit in and very nice service. The cocktails and wine are a little expensive but it’s worth it to be able to enjoy the atmosphere. Our room was very comfortable and spacious and had lots of shelves, closet space, a desk and windows that actually opened. I highly recommend The Bensen to anyone who wants to stay in downtown Portland.

Palm Court offers breakfast 7 days a week, starting at 6:30 am on Monday through Friday and 7:00 am Saturday and Sunday. Palm Court's breakfast features everything from Continental options to Omelettes, Waffles and French Toast.
$49.00 for guest overnight valet parking, and an hourly charge for guests not staying at the hotel, currently $9.00 per hour, with a maximum charge of $49.00 per day. Parking rates may change. Bus parking is available approximately 6 blocks away at a rate of approximately $150 per day.

It’s always a pleasure to stay at The Benson. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean and the building itself is beautiful.
The room was clean and pleasant. I loved the wonderful soaking tub and abundant hot water after a simple supper of risotto after a long day.

We had dinner in the lobby and Carla was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing! In fact, everything about the way we were treated was perfect, the guests were very considerate of my walking sticks and helped me any way they could.
