The cool thing about Hotel Fraye Nashville Curio Collection by Hilton is its convenient location near Vanderbilt University and Broadway, as well as its modern amenities such as a gym, pool, and on-site restaurants.
With the recent ice storm in Middle Tennessee bringing in a huge unexpected clientele looking for warm accommodations all around the same time, I thought the Hotel Fraye staff did an excellent job of patiently and professionally checking in a rush of guests (many with their pets). But there was one Desk Clerk who went out of her way to address misunderstandings and snafus, politely and professionally; at times having to be firm, but always apologetic in having to decline a request. Her name is Sonya and her steady presence at the front desk between 3:00 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 25th, answering questions, unraveling complications, having to turn aside those without reservations, enabled the check in process to go smoothly and actually swiftly. given the number of folk arriving to check in all at the same time. Furthermore, when having to book an additional night, Sonya clearly explained the difference in room rates and made staying an additional night a seamless process was most appreciated. I do hope someone in authority can let Sonya know that her excellence in customer service was noticed by at least one appreciative Nashville who sought shelter at Hotel Fraye for a few days.
