I have stayed here many years ago and have fond memories. I wish I could say the same this time. I called before our arrival and was told our room would be ready by 3:00 pm. We arrived shortly before 3:00 pm and were told the room was almost ready. The receptionist invited us to wait in the bar. After a drink and some food we still had not been notified on the status of our room. At 4:00 pm I walked back to the counter and the receptionist said the room was ready with no explanation on why we were not notified. We felt as though we were being pushed to spend money in the bar while waiting for our room. When we first arrived no one tagged our bags so they still had to look for them once we had our room key. I had to go back to the counter to ask for our bags after we got into our room. At breakfast the next morning there were egg shells in my food. I took three separate bites that included egg shells. I told the server who made no effort to provide a discount or refund. For $1300 a night, I expected MUCH better service. We were very excited about this stay as my wife had not been here before. It was sub par.
