I enjoyed my stay very much. The hotel looks very nice and wears it's age well. The restaurant prepared a delicious dinner that we enjoyed while listening to relaxinging piano music. A very pleasant dinner.

I love everything about this place the lake view is just stunning. The pool is fantastic! The rooms feel like grandmas house! Just a very pleasant atmosphere the entire village is amazing.

The Lakeside Inn, Mount Dora has a lovely setting, well maintained and clean. The bedroom was ample, well furnished. The air conditioning had a remote control for temp setting. We arrived for breakfast at 10:20 it stops at 10:15 but the staff was gracious and arranged for us to be served. The inn is a historic site.

I was nearby in Tavares visiting one of our sister companies for work and was booked to stay at the Lakeside Inn. Although it was only one night, my experience was like a mini vacation! Mount Dora is a very nice town to visit. When I arrived at the inn, staff was friendly and attentive! My room was clean and comfortable and the views at sunset were unbeatable!
The outside, grounds etc are beautiful. However the room accommodations are extremely uninviting and not very comfortable. The bathroom was not easy to function in and we could not adjust the water setting. You either scalded or frozen. The restaurant had delicious breakfasts and very friendly wait staff.
We arrived hot and tired after a long drive. But the charm of Florida's oldest constantly operating hotel soon had us relaxed and ready for a sunset cruise along the shores of Dora Lake to see vultures and egrets and a world class sunset. The hotel's beautiful antique furnishings and old fashioned courtesy and care made our two day stay feel like a genuine escape from crowds and hustle bustle. We enjoyed the nearby shops and restaurants, as well as the hotel's excellent food. A glass of wine on the veranda at sunset made for a magical evening. We took another cruise before we left, when we spotted turtles and an alligator sunning on a cedar log and many wonderful birds including a wood stork and a blue heron. It was a very special time.
Bathtub needs replacing pillows very uncomfortable.
Its a very beautiful place.
Classic hotel.would have liked a coffee / microwave maker in the room but over all would recommend staying. Breakfast was delicious!
