We had a nice stay on a birthday visit.
Restaurant on site was excellent. Quick service and great waitresses for the fabulous breakfast we had in the “everyone has a gorge view” dining room. Spent much time walking the paths on the grounds taking in the views, sitting with a book, or watching the distant wind surfers on the river. It was a warm August weekend. We stayed two nights. Drove the Fruit Loop through Parkdale with that amazing postcard view of Mt Hood and hiked Tamawanas Falls Trail.
This trip was for rest and relaxation. We booked massages, enjoyed walking the grounds, which are beautiful and had wonderful meals in Simon's Cliffhouse. I can't say enough about the staff. They were wonderful. Special mentions go to Donna at the desk and John in the bar. We leave for home rested and renewed. Our privious trip was all about waterfalls and sightseeing. Whether you come for sport, sightseeing or to relax it's all here. I love this place.
