Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Ottumwa

The room was clean and I like the option of a soft or firm pillow. Overall it was a nice stay and the breakfast option were good. I plan to stay there when I return home to Ottumwa in the future.

Erin at the front desk went above and beyond to assist with TV issues. When issues couldn't be resolved she found another room, right across the hall so the move was easy. She was so friendly and engaging. Had dinner at the restaurant. Nice menu, the food was excellent. Loved our waiter, sorry I didn't catch his name. If we're ever in the area again we will definitely stay there.

Clean. Well maintained. Friendly staff. A welcoming lobby. A big plus is the Wissota Chophouse restaurant on the first floor.

I reserved an accessible (handicap) room with a king bed for myself and one dog. When I arrived, I was told they did not have any rooms with king beds available. The only option was to get a room with two queens. If I could have cancelled at that point, I would have. Because of this hotel's policy, I would have had to pay the full price of the room anyway. The king bed was a necessary item for me. I wouldn't have reserved the room at this location if I could not get the bed type I needed. I barely got any sleep. Not only does my dog take a lot of space, but he's also very warm when he has to sleep close to me, so I was hot all night. Additionally, it was extremely loud until the very early hours of the morning. There were doors banging very often. The room had no sound dampening at all. I didn't bother with the breakfast. I asked about the menu upon check in and wasn't interested in the offerings. This wasn't the hotel's fault; I'm just on a restricted diet. I've stayed at the other hotels in Ottumwa for almost half the price I paid for this room. Those other hotels gave me the room type I reserved and I had a quiet environment to sleep in. I thought staying at a newer hotel would be a treat but it definitely wasn't. I won't be back.

The hotel is fairly new don't was very nice. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. It offers free breakfast with a variety of hot and cold options. My only problem was the toilet was loose and kind of banged around when you sat down and the TV receptions wasn't great. Even though we could get all the channels, the picture had a line through the middle that bounced and blipped causing the picture to constantly be distorted. There is an indoor pool, chophouse and a fitness center, but we didn't have time to visit them. All in all it's a great hotel.

The Cobblestone is very clean and the people are very friendly.
