Crowne Plaza Albany - The Desmond Hotel by IHG

Everyone was very friendly and helpful, restaurant food was very good and shuttle got us to the airport on time.

We love this hotel and always find our stay pleasant! We have two small dogs and they are welcome here which is important to us. The staff is friendly and the rooms very comfortable. We have stayed many times and will continue to do so!

We have an elderly family member in Cooperstown and try to visit several times a year. The flights to Ft Lauderdale depart Albany extremely early in the morning or arrive from Ft Lauderdale extremely late in the evening. We have stayed at the Desmond four (4) times in the past two (2) years and have found the Desmond to be the perfect place to stay (both on our late evening arrival into Albany or our very early departure back to Ft Lauderdale). The Desmond location could not be better as it’s only five (5) minutes from the airport (if that). The Desmond is a wonderful hotel, clean with a lovely ambiance throughout (not to mention a wonderful and large indoor heated pool). Freshly prepared sandwiches, snacks, drinks and sundries are available in the lobby and available 24 hours a day. The restaurant has an excellent and diverse menu and the hotel has an exceptionally fast room service with the food delivered at perfect temperature. The staff are exceptional. Friendly, efficient and very accommodating to all our requests If you want a lovely hotel to stay for whatever the reason, we strongly recommend the Desmond Hotel, Albany. Ken and Ann.

The remodeled Desmond Crowne Plaza offers large rooms immaculately kept with all amenities. The restaurant is quite good and the entire staff is helpful and pleasant. My meeting was in another local hotel, but I stayed at the Desmond Crowne Plaza and drove to my meeting. I suggest you do the same.

I love staying at the Desmond. The staff is super friendly and the room is always immaculate. They have the most comfortable beds too. I enjoy the food and drinks from the restaurant.

Just wish all cost was included in the price.

Very nice room with plenty of amenities. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. Check in and out was simple.

The first room I was given was in disrepair and after reporting I had to Move rooms after a whole day of working only to be given another room with same issue with shower water scalding hot or freezing cold not expected at the Desmond very disappointed and I should receive a credit booked through Expedia which is didn’t realize why does that happen when I booked online clicked on Desmond very deceiving.

We love staying at Crown Plaza in Albany. We've been visiting for nearly 20 years now. It is pristine, very comfortable, the staff is friendly and the food is delicious! We missed the fire this year,though. The only drawback was the cost of the room almost doubled from when we were there in December.
