On December 18 after enduring a 9-hour flight from Paris, I arrived at O'Hara at 2:15 PM to be greeted by masses of people and nearly a two hour wait in line to get my customs photo taken and confirmed so that I could get my bag, recheck it and head to the gate for my final flight to reach home. But I was too late to make that flight. Instead, I was booked for a flight the next morning. I would be staying overnight in Chicago with no reservations. Help! At the beginning of my journey, I had stayed at the Renaissance Chicago O'Hare Suites Hotel on December 9, so I decided to give them a call. They had room for me! I took the convenient shuttle to the hotel where I was greeted with a warm smile and a bonus ticket to the breakfast buffet the next morning. This welcome made me feel at home after a long travel day! I am very grateful!
