First of all when booking I always talk with Pat at the switchboard. She has the most pleasant phone voice and she’s always so helpful. Then there’s Andrew the shuttle driver. You can tell he loves his city and the Lions! Knows his way around the city like the back of his hand. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are lovely, comfortable and quiet. I would surely recommend the Atheneum to anyone looking for lodging in downtown Detroit!

Our room was very nice! The food and the drinks in the bar in the lobby were excellent! All employees I came into contact with were very nice!

Great hotel! I don’t understand how a 180$ room can end up costing 259$ without parking.
We use the free shuttle and the driver, Keno, is great. Rest of the staff are friendly and helpful. Great location too.
This hotel is a real gem! Outstanding customer service, terrific rooms, very clean and great location!
Our stay began by being greeted by Darnell. He and Will, the bartender, Andre and Pat made our stay so enjoyable! They all went above and beyond! A great staff!
I've stayed here my last three times in Detroit and will continue to doso. The valets, doormen and the front desk workers are always polite and so helpful! The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable with pretty good views. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate me and my two friends. Pat at the front desk and the man who checked us in made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in! The shuttle drivers were amazing! When we left Claude lead us right to the expressway! We ended our night at the bar with Will the bartender. He had us in stitches and he capped off the evening for sure! Coming back in April!
