Novotel signed a partnership agreement in July 2007 with Green Globe, the international environmental certification program for responsible travel and tourism. It is to this end that the Novotel Hotels in Montreal and Ottawa partnered with Brome-Missisquoi MRC. In 2009, the hotels launched a project aimed at fighting blue-green algae by planting vegetation along the banks of the Yamaska River. It is by committing to planting one tree for every reservation made on the Internet sites of these two hotels, that we are proud to announce that nearly 200,000 trees have been planted resulting in an improved environment including better quality of the drinking water for the residents of Brome-Missisquoi MRC. Novotel Montreal Centre and Novotel Ottawa are proud to contribute in this way to the protection of the environment for future generations.
