Located in La Jolla, this beach hotel is within a 10-minute drive of Mission Bay and Mission Beach Boardwalk, and just a short walk from La Jolla Cove.
If you’re swimming in the La Jolla Cove Ooen Water Swim there’s no better place to stay the night before the event!
Went for a wedding. The rooftop venue is great. The remodeled suites are good. The rooms are old, rundown, dirty (except for bed and bathroom),and ridiculously overpriced. $500+ per night. Ive stayed in Motel 6 that is better. I wouldn't stay there for free. The suites are good, but $700 per night. Rooms often smell like pee. Not sure if it's the smell of the seals outside or the hotel itself. The view and location are excellent. It's too bad the owner doesn't take pride in the maintenance of the hotel.
We stayed in the new Pines wing. Wonderful views from the large balcony, spacious room, comfy beds and pillows. Great staff. Treasure was particularly helpful at the front desk.
Can't beat the location. The property is older but room, staff and amenities were great!
Although we don't currently have food service at the hotel, we do have Parakeet Cafe on site (open from 7am-5pm), and many fantastic restaurants that are close by.
Parking is $18 per hour or $27 for overnight parking.
