The hotel's Green Initiatives include: Our hotel has a staff active Green Team with 10 members and counting. Currently we are working on ideas to help reduce the use of water and chemicals used in the housekeeping and laundry areas. The Engineering department has initiated a preventative maintenance program that focuses on all major building systems, guestrooms and public areas All products used by the Engineering department are environmentally friendly and low or no VOC (volatile organic compounds) We track energy data We have adopted a policy of zero use of incandescent lamps/bulbs in all guestrooms. (LED bulbs are used almost every area of the hotel with the exception of a few fixtures on the first floor) All plumbing fixtures meet or exceed the International Plumbing Code flow rate requirements All used light bulbs, batteries, ballasts etc... are collected and will be recycled or disposed of properly by a third party vendor
