The cool thing about Southwinds Motel is its convenient location near Duval Street and South Beach, allowing guests to easily explore the vibrant Key West Historic District.
We spent four nights in a king room. The motel is old Florida! Real keys to get in, no closet, tiny but perfectly usable bathroom. It is two blocks from the Duval Loop stop. You can walk to the dog beach and the Southernmost Point. It was a great base of operations for our stay. On site liquor store/bar and ice cream shop.
Staff was very helpful. Rooms are small but clean. Very quiet and laid back. Best ice cream on the beach is roosters. Would definitely stay again!
