If you're looking for a quiet, quaint hotel unfortunately we are not the place for you. We invite you to experience the real Aiken! Come play and stay with us during your next visit to Aiken! Originally built in 1898, the main building of Hotel Aiken has gone through many changes and a series of major and continuous renovations since 2001. With the accent on retaining the historical feel of this landmark building, Hotel Aiken provides all the modern amenities one would expect from a contemporary Hotel, such as free use of wireless internet in all rooms. We also offer more basic accommodations in our exterior corridor Courtyard building, where the rooms are standard, economy motel rooms.Hotel Aiken offers three separate bars for your entertainment! Our main bar, The Polo Tavern, is one of downtown Aiken’s most popular watering holes. The Tavern has live entertainment on Wednesday through Saturday nights and is open seven days a week. The Tiki Tavern is an outdoor bar on the back patio of the Polo Tavern and is also open seven days a week, weather permitting. Our recently renovated corner bar is called the Cork & Bean at One Hundred Laurens, which offers a more mellow atmosphere featuring designer coffees and delectable desserts.Due to the popularity of all of our hotel bars and our downtown location, it should be noted when making reservations that we are very much a “party hotel ” in Aiken and if you’re looking for a lively, fun and busy venue, especially on weekends, then you should stay with us. Our on site bars are open until 2AM seven nights a week, which makes us quite the popular place to be any night of the week. Please keep this in mind when making your reservations. Located on Richland Avenue, we are the only Hotel in town that is truly in the heart of historic downtown and therefore we are walking distance from all of Aiken’s many other excellent restaurants, bars and stores.
